Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Earns 2024 Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is proud to announce that it has received the 2024 Excellence in Patient Safety Award from the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).

This prestigious recognition highlights hospitals across the Commonwealth that have performed exceptionally well in minimizing healthcare-associated infections. Conemaugh Memorial is one of only 22 hospitals honored for its 2023 outcomes.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment to excellence.”

HAP evaluates hospitals using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network data. To qualify for this distinction, hospitals must outperform the mean standardized infection ratio in three critical areas: central line-associated bloodstream infections, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, and Clostridioides difficile occurrences.
