Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Earns National Recognition for Excellence in Pulmonary and Surgical Care

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has earned national recognition from Healthgrades for excellence in clinical quality and patient outcomes, placing the hospital among the top 15% nationwide for both pulmonary and surgical care.
The hospital received the 2027 Healthgrades Pulmonary Care Specialty Excellence Award and Surgical Care Specialty Excellence Award, recognizing its outstanding performance in these critical areas of patient care. Conemaugh Memorial also earned Five-Star Ratings for the treatment of hip fractures, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sepsis and pneumonia.
The latest honors continue a strong record of clinical excellence. Conemaugh Memorial has earned the Pulmonary Care Specialty Excellence Award for six consecutive years and a Five-Star Rating for pneumonia treatment for seven consecutive years, demonstrating sustained performance in delivering high-quality care.

Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance based on objective clinical outcomes, including risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates, rather than reputation or survey responses. Its annual analysis examines outcomes across more than 30
common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide, providing patients and families with meaningful information to help guide healthcare decisions.
