Primary & Urgent Care
A primary care provider (PCP) cares for the health of an individual and their family through all stages of life. These providers offer regular wellness visits, screenings, illness visits and diagnosis, management for chronic conditions, and guidance for proper nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, a PCP will coordinate referrals to specialists for expertise of certain illnesses or injuries and to ensure specialized care and treatment for each patient.

Family Medical Center is a department of Conemaugh Health System. When you see a physician or receive services in a provider-based clinic, you are technically being treated in an outpatient department of the hospital rather than the physician’s office. Please refer to “Understanding your Healthcare Costs” to learn how your bill may be affected when seen by a provider in a provider-based clinic.
