Conemaugh Health System Graduates Four New Leaders

This week, Conemaugh Health System graduated four local healthcare professionals from the health system’s New Leader program. Introduced in 2012, the program supports new managers and directors as they transition into leadership roles. The training offers management skills training and organizational-specific process training. Through the program, new leaders earn a management certificate from St. Francis University and Conemaugh Health System.
The 2021 graduates include:
- Andrew Gaunt, CRNP, Director, Emergency Medicine – A Ferndale Area High School and Conemaugh School of Nursing graduate, Gaunt earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) at University of Pittsburgh. He is a 23-year veteran of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
- Meghan Perrone, RN, Office Manager, Conemaugh Physician Group – St. Benedict Rural Health Clinic – An Ebensburg native and Northern Cambria High School graduate, Perrone earned associate degrees in science and nursing, and in science and surgical technology at Mount Aloysius College. She served Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center from 2008-2012 and returned to Conemaugh Physician Group in 2018.
- Katie Roberts, RN, Nurse Manager, GI Lab – A Summerhill native and Forest Hills graduate, Roberts earned an associate degree in nursing at Mount Aloysius and a bachelor’s degree in nursing at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Roberts has served at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for 15 years.
- Paula Kline, RN, Nurse Manager, Good Samaritan 4 (Palliative Care/Medical-Surgical) – A native of Central City and a 24-year veteran at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Kline graduated from the Conemaugh School of Nursing and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Aloysius College. She also earned a CEN board certification in emergency nursing.
