Conemaugh Health System publishes 2025 Community Benefit Report

Conemaugh Health System (CHS) released its 2025 Community Benefit Report, highlighting the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the health and economic well-being of communities across west central Pennsylvania.
The annual report outlines how CHS is advancing its mission of making communities healthier® through investments in patient care, workforce development, and community partnerships. The system includes Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center, and Conemaugh Miners Medical Center—affiliated with Duke LifePoint Healthcare—as well as Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health.

This report reflects the meaningful impact of that commitment.”
In 2025, Conemaugh Health System generated a total economic impact of nearly $365 million, reinforcing its role as a vital contributor to both community health and regional economic stability.
Key highlights from the report include:
- Expanded Access to Care: Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, the system’s flagship hospital, added providers across multiple specialties, including anesthesiology, cardiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, psychiatry, radiology, urology, and vascular surgery—enhancing access to specialized care close to home.
- Strategic Capital Investments: More than $18.2 million was invested in facility and technology upgrades, including emergency department renovations, a new medical oncology center, the addition of an Aquablation robotic system, and implementation of the Tablo in-house hemodialysis solution.
- Commitment to Uncompensated Care: CHS provided more than $41 million in health services to patients in need, ensuring access to care regardless of ability to pay.
- Workforce Investment: The health system distributed nearly $272 million in salaries, wages, and benefits to more than 2,800 employees. An additional $7 million was invested in professional development and tuition assistance, supporting continued growth and excellence in patient care.
- Community and Economic Support: CHS contributed nearly $39 million in local and state taxes and supported numerous community organizations, including the American Heart Association, Beginnings, Inc., Operation BeYoutiful, Community Arts Center, United Way of the Southern Alleghenies, Ebensburg Main Street Partners, Blair Senior Services, the Pennsylvania Maple Festival, and the Volunteer Firemen’s Association of Cambria County.
