Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Lloyd, CST, RN, BSN, as Director of Surgical Services.

Lloyd brings more than a decade of surgical and nursing expertise to his new leadership role—all gained at Conemaugh Memorial. Since joining the organization in 2010, he has served in several clinical and managerial capacities, most recently as Registered Nurse Manager of the Operating Room, where he was responsible for equipment procurement, staffing and training, and budget management.

A valued member of the Conemaugh team, Lloyd began his career as a Surgical Technologist before advancing into nursing roles in the Orthopedic Trauma Unit, Emergency Department, and Operating Room. His experience across multiple departments has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of surgical workflows, patient care, and team collaboration.

Lloyd earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, and Associate Degree in Surgical Technology from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

As Director of Surgical Services, Lloyd will oversee all aspects of surgical operations at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, with a focus on advancing clinical excellence, optimizing operational performance, and supporting team development. His leadership will play an essential role in Conemaugh Health System’s mission of making communities healthier by delivering high-quality, compassionate care close to home, supporting healthier lives and stronger futures for the region.
