Conemaugh Nason Medical Center to Implement Visitor Restrictions on Monday
August 13, 2021Effective Monday, August 16, Conemaugh Nason Medical Center will implement visitor restrictions in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the community. Visiting hours will be reduced and restricted as follows:
- Inpatients will be limited to two adult visitors
- Inpatient visitors are welcome between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and one hour before discharges
- Labor and Delivery patients may have one support person at all times, as well as two adult visitors during inpatient visiting hours
- Outpatients will be limited to one visitor
- Emergency Room patients will be limited to two adult visitors.
All visitors will screen upon entry and are required to wear a mask. Visitors with a positive screen will be asked to leave. Visitors must remain in the patient’s room for the duration of the visit, and social distancing will continue to be practiced. Patients are encouraged to use alternative methods of communication, including FaceTime or Zoom, as much as possible. Devices are available for patient use at the hospital upon request. Conemaugh Nason Medical Center encourages the community to do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by getting vaccinated, wearing a mask or face covering, and practicing social distancing and proper hand hygiene.
