Ostomy

Conemaugh Health System offers ostomy assistance through a certified, experienced Wound / Ostomy / Continence Nurse.

Ostomy patients receive a caring and compassionate review and evaluation of any ostomy issues by the Nurse. A plan of care and recommendation is shared with the patient and physician to provide optimum care. Counseling and additional education is also provided.

Ostomy Support Group

This group provides a secure and friendly environment for individuals living with an ostomy. The group is hosted by ostomy nurses and guest speakers may attend. Group members receive up-to-date information and support through interactions with positive peers.

Meets quarterly on a Wednesday, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
