Cancer Healthcare Team
- Primary Care Physician receives all test results
- Medical Oncologists are the forefront of personalized care to prevent and treat cancer with as few side effects as possible, including risk assessment, counseling, and monitoring and dosing of chemotherapy
- Radiation Oncologists develop and manage radiation treatment plans
- Hematologists specialize in the treatment of blood disorders, often no cancer related
- Surgeons consult with medical oncologists before and after surgery
- Interventional Radiologists perform Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) for liver, kidney, lung and breast tumors, and chemoemboliztion for liver cancer
- Oncology Certified Nurses have special training in nursing management and treatment of cancer patients
- Oncology Pharmacists trained in the mixture of chemotherapy medication
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners including one of the region's only Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioners
- Psychologists and Doctoral Interns provide compassionate behavioral medicine designed to address emotional and stress reduction needs of patients and caregivers
- Social Workers/Pastoral Care/Nutritionists/Rehabilitation Therapists offer additional support services
- Licensed Practical Nurses assist with patient care activities
- Administrative Assistants assist with flow of patient information and scheduling
