Laborist Returns to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center

February 19, 2018

Certified Nurse Midwife Patricia Pajak, CNM, CRNP, MSN, a popular care provider with Conemaugh OB/GYN Associates, recently returned to the practice where she worked from 2000 to 2017.

Pajak is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Towson, Maryland. She completed her training as a Nurse-Midwife at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing followed by a certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Master of Science in Nursing, also from Frontier University.

“I am happy to be back with my colleagues at Conemaugh,” says Pajak. She no longer sees patients in the office but instead is working as a hospitalist, providing care to patients who come to the hospital for labor and delivery. “In this role, I help triage patients who come to Maternity. I help with deliveries both vaginal and C-section and I round on all patients following delivery helping to provide continuity of care.”

Pajak is a member of a number of professional organizations including the American College of Nurse Midwives and the National Association of Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners.
