Conemaugh Nason Medical Center has awarded Alaina Heeter, RN, the hospital’s Amber Port Memorial Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship was established in 2020 in memory of Amber Port, RN, PACU/SDSU Nurse Manager.

An Imler native and Mount Aloysius College graduate, Heeter joined the hospital as a registered nurse in 2014 and provides care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. She pursued her education while working full-time, and will complete her studies at Maryville University in December to become a family nurse practitioner.

“Through hard work, commitment, and dedication to advancing her nursing education, Alaina is a perfect embodiment of the Amber Port Memorial Scholarship and we are so proud to recognize her with this well-deserved award,” said Tim Harclerode, FACHE, CPPS, CEO, Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. “This scholarship honors Amber’s extraordinary legacy by helping young nurses who share Amber’s compassion and spirit as they advance their nursing education.”
