Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Hosts Career Day

On Wednesday, October 13, dozens of students from 14 local high schools will visit Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center to learn more about career and continuing education opportunities in healthcare.

Students will hear from a range of speakers including representatives from Pharmacy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, Food & Nutrition, Respiratory Therapy, Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, and the Conemaugh School of Nursing and Allied Health programs. Students will also spend a portion of the day on rotations visiting the School of Emergency Medicine, School of Medical Laboratory Science, School of Radiologic Technology, School of Nursing, School of Histotechnology, and School of Surgical Technology.

Career Day participants must be enrolled in grades 11 or 12 and be 16 years of age or older. Each student must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher in the most recent semester and must demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
