Conemaugh Health System to Host Community Vaccination Clinics at East Hills Outpatient Center

March 31, 2021

Beginning on Tuesday, April 6, Conemaugh Health System will host vaccination clinics at the Conemaugh East Hills Outpatient Center (1450 Scalp Avenue) for members of the community who meet the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health eligibility, as well as frontline workers identified as part of the state’s new special initiative. This updated eligibility immediately includes law enforcement, firefighters, grocery store workers, and food and agriculture workers. Additional groups of Pennsylvanians will meet eligibility in the coming weeks and can begin to book their vaccinations now.

All appointments will be scheduled at the East Hills Outpatient Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the month. Additionally, Conemaugh Health System and Cambria County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) have added another community vaccination clinic at the Johnstown Galleria (500 Galleria Drive) on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic, which will offer more than 1,100 vaccinations and be open to anyone over the age of 16, will take place on the lower level of the mall (between Boscov’s and Shoe Dept. Encore). Second dose appointments will be scheduled for May 17 at the same location.

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has a dedicated phoneline (814-410-8400) for scheduling vaccinations. Individuals are encouraged to check back regularly. Phone scheduling will be limited to two registrations per caller in order to accommodate as many members of the community as possible. Patients will also be notified by MyChart about available openings. Existing MyChart users do not need to proactively take any steps on MyChart to request a vaccination, but they should monitor their account and the email associated with the account for updates and notifications. Vaccination appointments scheduled through MyChart may not be used by anyone except for the person who received the notification. Those who do not have a MyChart account can register for one by visiting New and existing users are not guaranteed a vaccination appointment solely by having a MyChart account.
Due to high demand and limited supply, advance registration is required. No walk-up appointments will be available at either location. Free parking is available onsite and free public transportation is available via CamTran.

To date, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has distributed at least one vaccine dose to more than 10,000 members of the community.
