Conemaugh Health System Redesign hires new Director of Corporate Care

James Medillo has been named Conemaugh Health System’s new Director of Corporate Care. 

Mendillo graduated from St. Francis College in Loretto with a Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant and a Master’s Degree in Medical Science. He is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. 

In his new role with the Conemaugh Health System, Mendillo will be coordinating care for employees of client companies and managing illnesses and injuries that arise in the workplace. He will also help facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, insurance companies and employer representatives. 

Prior to coming to Conemaugh, he served as Director/Physician Assistant with WorkPlace Health where his duties included coordination of care for employees of client companies at five Occupational Medicine Clinics across Pennsylvania. He has also worked as a Physician Assistant in several regional emergency rooms and orthopedic practices and served as Administrative Director of Occupational Medicine for the former UPMC Lee Regional Hospital. 

Mendillo is an Adjunct Professor in St. Francis University’s Physician Assistant program and is involved with several professional memberships including as a Fellow with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. He is also a member of Physician Assistants in Occupational Medicine.
