Conemaugh Announces Plans for Ebensburg Outpatient Center

August 10, 2018

Project investment estimated to be $22 million

Conemaugh Health System has confirmed the purchase of land in Ebensburg, PA and will begin construction of a comprehensive outpatient center. The 40,000 square foot building will be constructed at the intersection of Route 219 and Route 22.

“We are pleased to officially announce our plans to open a new outpatient center in Ebensburg,” says Steve Tucker, chief executive officer of Conemaugh Health System. “Conemaugh has been providing high-quality medical care in Ebensburg for more than thirty years, and our investment in this center will make it even more convenient for patients to access great health care, close to home.”

The new Conemaugh Ebensburg Outpatient Center will provide a one-stop, convenient location for a variety of outpatient services, consolidating and expanding existing imaging and lab services, as well as primary and specialty care physician offices. Construction on the site is expected to begin in October and will take about twelve months to complete.

Conemaugh Health System announced in June a similar project to construct an outpatient center in Somerset, and work on the Somerset property at the corner of North Center Avenue and Byers began this week.

Victor Giovanetti, President of LifePoint Health’s Eastern Group added: “The investment in outpatient services in Ebensburg and Somerset is a great step towards advancing our mission of Making Communities Healthier. I’m confident that under Bill Caldwell’s leadership these Conemaugh facilities will be vital and vibrant centers for community health.”
