Why I chose pharmacy: I think it’s pretty cool how pharmacists can work behind the scenes as a resource for other health care professionals and a safeguard for patient safety. I love learning about the nuances of each drug and how we can utilize their unique characteristics to choose the best treatment for each patient.
Why I chose Conemaugh: Definitely the people! I have been an intern in the pharmacy here for two years and cannot imagine leaving this community of wonderful people. I have also had the pleasure of watching two pharmacy resident classes transform from students into awesome clinical pharmacists through this program, and hope for that to be me at the end of this year as well!
Favorite Clinical Specialty: Not so sure yet. I really enjoyed my critical care and ambulatory care rotations as a student, but I am looking forward to trying out other clinical specialties this year in hopes of pinpointing my niche in this field.
Hobbies: volleyball, beaching, skiing
