When calling for an appointment, patient should explain a primary complaint to allow staff to schedule an appointment efficiently. Patients are required to notify the staff of an appointment cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. Wait time increases when patients arrive late. Please arrive a few minutes early as a courtesy to other patients.
To expedite the check-in process, patients should provide updates in address, phone number, or health insurance provider when calling to schedule an appointment. Patients should bring insurance information to each appointment. If services are not covered by insurance, please be prepared to pay for services provided at the time of the visit.
The cost of a visit is determined by the complexity of condition, tests necessary to properly diagnose provide care, and the time spent with the provider. To keep fees fair and reasonable, patients are asked to pay the portion of the bill that is not covered by his or her health insurance plan on the date of the office.
An insurance policy is a contract between each patient and his / her insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the patient and the patient’s insurance company to pay medical bills. As a courtesy to patients, Conemaugh staff will file claims to the patient’s insurance company, and provide information to determine benefits. The patient’s insurance deductible must be met and paid before insurance coverage takes effect.
