Visitor Information
Family members and visitors are welcome to visit with their loved one in the Intensive Care Unit or Coronary Care Unit. To ensure the safety and privacy of patients, family members, and visitors are asked to abide by the following guidelines.

Visitor Information
Family members and visitors are welcome to visit with their loved one in the Intensive Care Unit or Coronary Care Unit. To ensure the safety and privacy of patients, family members, and visitors are asked to abide by the following guidelines.
Inpatient Care and Recovery Center - Cardiac Unit

This unit is a cardiac unit that cares for patients with cardiac problems and the open heart population. The open heart program started in 1990 and is led by a specially trained staff, including progressive care certified nurses. To ensure the safety and privacy of patients, family members and visitors are asked to abide by the following guidelines.
Visitor Guidelines
- A Visitor Lounge is located on the 7th floor of the Ashman-Rose Pavilion
- For safety reasons, children under age 13 are not permitted to visit but can stay in the waiting room if supervised.
- To ensure safety of patients, please do not visit if experiencing a cough, fever, runny nose, or rash.
- Please refrain from touching equipment in patient's room, and do not sit on counters or floors.
- Visitors are asked to limit cell phones, pager, or electronic device use in patient rooms.
Contact Person(s) and Update Calls
Each patient's family is asked to designate one family member to serve as the primary contact person for updates. The family contact person can then relay information to other family and friends, allowing staff time to focus on care for the patient. To allow staff adequate time for communicating patient care updates during shift changes, contact persons are asked to refrain from calling the units between the hours of 6:30 - 8 am and 6:30 - 8 pm.
Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care staff and volunteers are available to support families and provide spiritual care for critically ill patients.
- Good Samaritan Chapel is located on the ground floor of the Good Samaritan Building. Mass is held Wednesday and Friday at noon. Weekend mass is Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Communion services are provided Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- Meditation Room is located on the 3rd floor of the Clinical Pavilion.
- Anointing of the Sick and Communion requests can be made by calling (814) 534-9695.
- Healing music and reflections are available through in-house television.
Food and Refreshments
Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center offers a variety of dining options for guests.
Vending machines are located on the third and fifth floors of the Ashman-Rose Pavilion.
