Conemaugh Physician Group is pleased to announce that Conemaugh - OB / Gyn Associates has received reaccreditation in fetal echocardiography, obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) Ultrasound Practice Accreditation Council through May 1, 2017.

"This reaccreditation shows our tremendous work as a team in providing the best care to our patients," says Dr. Adib Khouzami, Conemaugh Physician Group and Chairman of Women and Child Services at Conemaugh Memorial. "We are constantly working to improve and ensure quality procedures and technology are available to each patient."

AIUM ultrasound practice accreditation is a voluntary peer review process for practices to demonstrate that they meet or exceed nationally recognized standards in the performance and interpretation of diagnostic ultrasound examinations. Practices accredited by the AIUM have demonstrated competency in every aspect of their operation including personnel education, training and experience; document storage and record keeping; policies and procedures safeguarding patients, ultrasound personnel and equipment; instrumentation; quality assurance and case studies.
