Sheena Endress has collected and donated over 200,000 Cartoon band-aids for pediatric patients
When I was in second grade I was diagnosed with von WilleBrand Disease at Children’s Hospital and they took lots and lots of blood from me to figure out what I had. And they always gave me brown, plain Band-Aids. They said they cut the funds for Cartoon Band-Aids. So I was in Girl Scouts and my mom was my Girl Scout leader so I asked if I could collect Band-Aids like we do for food drives. She said yes and the Girl Scouts helped out and the first year we collected a little over 5,000 after that we just kept collecting them.
It probably brightens their day, they probably smile a lot more knowing it doesn’t hurt when they pull the Band-Aid off, especially when you get more than one Band-Aid a day.
