Conemaugh School of Nursing freshman student Betsy Sherry was recently named a recipient of the 2014 Jack E. Barger, Sr. Scholarship from the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP). The NFP administers scholarships on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). The $1,000 individual scholarships are awarded to nursing students who are veterans, in active military duty or are the child or spouse of a veteran or active duty personnel.
Betsy is one of six scholarship recipients for 2014, along with students from Bloomsburg University, Community College of Philadelphia, La Salle University, Abington Memorial Hospital – Dixon School of Nursing, and Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Nursing Program.
