Central Cambria Boosters Raise Money for Conemaugh Regional Hospice
Conemaugh Regional Hospice received a donation of $2,300 during Central Cambria High School's "pink out" game against Bishop Guilfoyle. The check was presented by senior members of the varsity football team and the girls volleyball team. The Central Cambria Boosters sold 1,200 t-shirts throughout all four school locations consisting of two elementary, middle and high schools raising money for local Hospice programs. Rich Bauer, President of the Central Cambria Football and Volleyball Boosters, has organized the "pink out" for the last five years. Recently, Central Cambria saw two of their own in need of hospice care. "We have had two individuals pass away and both families were grateful for the care they received from hospice," said Bauer. "We couldn't imagine a more fitting tribute."

Conemaugh Township Middle / High School Donate to Cancer Fund
Students from the Conemaugh Township Middle School and High School football teams and Student Council raised $2,500 for patient needs at the Conemaugh Cancer Care Center. Fundraising activities, including sales of pink t-shirts that were worn at a"Pink Out" game, were organized by the "Serving Our Neighbors Club" (S.O.N.) Junior Alex Stahl of the S.O.N. Club coordinated the efforts of the students and led the fundraising effort. "The extra effort that the students take to help with outreach is to be commended," says Dr. Gerard Garguilo, Conemaugh Physician Group - Breast Surgery. "This donation directly serves the needs of the patients in our area". Donations to the Conemaugh Health Foundation assist with the greatest patient needs including but not limited to meals during chemotherapy and transportation to treatment appointments.
