Christine M. Lesosky, DO, a Johnstown native and graduate of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s Family Practice residency, is joining Dr. Brian Lieb in practice at Conemaugh Physician Group – St. Benedict.

“I was born at Conemaugh and always knew I wanted to practice medicine here at home,” says Dr. Lesosky, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Lesosky joins Dr. Brian Lieb at the Conemaugh Physician Group – St. Benedict practice on Theatre Drive in Carrolltown, PA. “I have worked with Dr. Lieb through the residency program at Conemaugh Memorial,” says Dr. Lesosky. “We have a similar enthusiasm for family medicine and a similar way of managing patients and I felt this was the best fit for me.”

As a Family Practice physician, Dr. Lesosky enjoys treating a wide variety of patients and conditions. She has special interest in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), a hands-on care approach used to ease muscle pain, promote healing and increase mobility.

In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Lesosky looks forward to helping with Conemaugh Memorial’s Family Medicine residency program, providing lectures and helping medical residents in Conemaugh Memorial’s Medical Skills Learning Center. “The Simulation lab was a big part of my training and I look forward to helping there and with resident lectures,” says Dr. Lesosky. “I believe Conemaugh Memorial’s Family Practice Residency prepares physicians incredibly well to jump right into practice or fellowship training. We get to see and treat a huge number of cases, it is a great program.”

In addition to her memberships in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) and American Academy of Family Physician (AAFP), Dr. Lesosky is also a member of the Pennsylvania Geriatric Society, the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). She also serves on the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association’s Board of Trustees, Committee on Trauma and Committee on Bio-Medical Ethics.

Dr. Lesosky is engaged to be married. Her fiancée is also a Pennsylvania native, from the Gettysburg area.
