The Conemaugh Health Foundation has awarded $250 scholarships to Conemaugh Radiologic Technology students Adam Miller and Melanie Chronosky. Both juniors, Adam and Melanie will graduate in May 2014.

Adam, from Bolivar, PA, maintains a 4.0 GPA. He was inspired to be a Radiologic Technologist after the quality care and positive interactions he experienced as a patient when having x-rays and MRIs throughout his high school years. “Every technologist seemed to enjoy his or her job,” says Adam. “Radiologic technology provides a solid foundation from which I can expand my education and career choices.” After graduation, Adam hopes to work in x-ray, MRI and CT. Eventually, he would like to work as a technologist for Orthopedic surgeons who focus on athletic injuries.

Melanie, from Indiana, PA, maintain a 4.0 GPA. “I have always found the medical field fascinating,” says Melanie. “Throughout my years of high school and college I always enjoyed learning about the anatomy and physiology of the body. The human body is incredible and I love learning about all the amazing functions.” After graduation, Melanie hopes to obtain a successful career in radiologic technology.
