Occupational therapy is responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities. Treatment plans are designed to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Your occupational therapist may make suggestions on modifications to your environment (home, work, etc) for adaptive equipment and provide training on proper use to maintain safety, function and strength in the home and work environments.
Your occupational therapist may also teach you an exercise program so you can do it at home.
