Please call us to schedule your CT scan.  When you arrive, please check in at the Outpatient Registration Desk, located in the Main Lobby of Memorial Medical Center. In addition, please be sure to bring your physician’s order with you. If you are having a contrast injection, you should not eat or drink for a few hours before your scan. Most CT scans of the abdomen and pelvis require that patients drink an oral contrast agent that helps radiologists identify the digestive system and detect any abnormalities. Patients are required to drink a little less than four cups within two hours. Patients aged 50 and over will also be required to have a GFR blood test before the scan. Please be sure to check your physician if you have questions or would like to verify anything about the procedure.
