Outpatient care is provided for various procedures including surgery, cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology. With guidance and support from our experienced team, you’re back in the comfort of your home the same day.  Here are a few simple guidelines to help prepare you prepare for your procedure:

• Do not eat or drink before the procedure. Your doctor or an anesthesiologist should give you specific information about when to stop eating and drinking.
• Specific instructions may be given to continue certain medications, such as heart medications, or to discontinue certain medications, such as aspirin or blood thinners, several days before the procedure. Please follow these directions carefully.
• Please do not wear jewelry, make-up or contact lenses to the procedures. In addition, dentures should not be worn during your surgery.

Preparing for surgery can vary based on the procedure. With that in mind, it’s best to check with your doctor if you have any questions or need additional information.
