MRI-rad-tech-studentThe School of Radiologic Technology is a two-year accredited certificate program. Upon completion of the program, students can continue their education in advanced imaging modalities or pursue careers in research, management, education or sales.

In addition, graduates are eligible to take the American Registry Examination for Radiologic Technologists and work as beginning radiologic technologists in a hospital, clinic or doctor's office.

Radiologic technologists perform radiographic procedures, such as chest x-rays, as well as procedures which require the use of contrast agents to visualize organs in the body. These include fluroscopic, operating room, trauma radiography and general diagnostic procedures. In addition, they assist the radiologist, process radiographic film, and position the patient while maintaining the patient's physical and emotional comfort.
