BLS (Basic Life Support)

Healthcare Provider
This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the skills of CPR until the victim is treated with more advanced lifesaving measures. The course covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR with one and two rescuer, use of a bag valve mask, foreign body airway obstruction and the AED. The course is intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, and other allied health professionals. There is a written and skill test that must be passed in order to receive a completion card.

Heartsaver
This course is designed to provide the lay rescuer with life saving skills of CPR until the victim can be brought to a hospital. The course may cover Adult, Child, Infant CPR, foreign body airway obstruction, the AED and First Aid. The course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to emergencies because of their job responsibility, for example, security, police, firefighters, teachers and daycare workers. The course is also intended for anyone who wants to learn these life saving skills, to include family members.
