Your discharge instructions will include the diet you are to follow upon discharge. If you are ordered a special diet you will be given a copy of the diet and any special instructions you need.

Why do I need to follow this diet?

There are many different types of diets specific to certain medical conditions. If you don’t follow the diet some restricted foods may cause a decline in your health. It is very important to try to follow this diet as closely as possible. If you have any questions you should call your physician.
