"The IT department devised a wristband scanning process to streamline data entry; however group educational sessions demonstrated poor results with attendance in light of the high patient census. The EKG department came up with a process of traveling to each nursing unit to provide the education one on one with staff from that department. These individualized education sessiosn were coordinated through each department's manager. The EKG staff still has several departments to see, however in the first month, their efforts have shown a 37% reduction in the number of non-matching EKGs. This has truly been teamwork at its best. Feedback from the education has been overwhelmingly positive from all involved, and shows that we are continuing on our journey for Excellence. Every Patient. Every Time."
