Stroke is an Acquired Brain Injury

Stroke is a leading cause of disability in the United States. According to the American Stroke Association, stroke statistics indicate that nearly 795,000 Americans suffer from new or recurrent strokes each year. Although many functional abilities may be restored soon after a stroke, recovery is an ongoing process. The Stroke Support Group provides education and information for stroke survivors and caregivers to maintain a positive attitude and to assist in reaching the highest level of independence and productivity possible.

The Stroke Support Group meets the first Wednesday of each month 3:00 pm - 4:30pm in the John P.Murtha Neuroscience and Pain Institute (Suite 2400), 1450 Scalp Avenue.
