Q. When should I visit MedWELL?

The MedWELL staff is well trained and prepared to provide treatment for:

  • Common Illnesses and Colds
  • Sprains and Strains
  • Minor Cuts or Injuries
  • Skin and Eye Irritations 

Q. Does the MedWELL Urgent Care Center provide the same services as the Emergency Room?

No, if you have a true life threatening emergency, you must go to the Emergency Room. True emergency care refers to those things which could be beyond the scope of an urgent care center, illnesses or injuries which may prove to be life-threatening and thus require the full resources of a hospital.

Q. What do I need to bring with me?

  • Please bring a photo ID and your insurance card with you
  • Current medication list
  • Your medical history- please be sure to let our staff know of ANY allergies
  • A form of payment,- payment, including insurance co-pay, is due prior to services rendered.

At MedWELL Urgent Care Center we accept:

Payment is due at the time of the visit.

Q.  Does MedWELL work with my doctor?

We see patients when your doctor is out, after hours, weekends and holidays. We handle the urgent problem immediately and refer back to the primary care doctor the next day.

Q.  Do you refer patients to specialists?

Yes. We handle immediately urgent problems such as sprains, fractures, lacerations, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, etc. and refer patients to the appropriate specialist the next day or immediately if the illness warrants.

Q.  Is x-ray available?

We have x-ray facilities on site with x-ray technicians on staff.

Q. Can I select MedWELL as my primary care physician?

MedWELL is not meant to replace your primary care physician, but is intended for use when your physician’s office is unavailable.

Minors

Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian on each visit until a consent to treat form is completed.
