Here are some common questions that residents and their family members frequently ask. If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at (814)534-6115.

Can clergy members visit me?
Pastoral Counselors from all denominations are always welcome to visit you.  We will also be happy to contact your personal clergy at your request.

Can I smoke?
Smoking is not permitted.  This applies to residents and all visitors, too.

Who can visit me?
Visitors of all ages are welcome at any time.  To protect your health and that of fellow residents, visitors with colds, sore throats or other communicable illnesses are asked to postpone their visit until the condition has cleared.

Where can visitors park?
Parking is available for residents and visitors for a nominal fee in the parking plaza directly in front of the Lee Campus. Automobile and pedestrian entrances are located on Main and Walnut Streets.  Valet parking is also available at the Lincoln Street entrance. This is a free service but donations are always welcome. Donations have funded the purchase of new equipment for babies in the Regional Intensive Care Nursery, and are also applied to other departments with the greatest patient need.

Can I get my hair cut or styled?
We are happy to contact a hairdresser or barber at your request.  Please talk with the nursing supervisor for a list of services and prices.

Can I receive mail?
Mail, packages and flowers are always welcome and are delivered directly to your room.  Items can be addressed to you at the following address:

Transitional Care Unit
Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center
Lee Campus, 2nd Floor
320 Main Street
Johnstown, PA 15901

If mail is sent to you after you have gone home, it will be forwarded to you.  A copy of the daily newspaper is also delivered to the Unit and is available in the Community Room.

Is there a television in my room?
Cable television service is available for a small fee.  Please contact the nursing supervisor for more information.  Because there are often two residents in a room, we ask that residents and visitors keep the volume at a level that suits all roommates.

Can I make telephone calls from my room?
Yes. In-room telephone service is available between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.  Residents are responsible for long-distance calls.  If you are hearing impaired, please contact the nursing supervisor for assistance. If you have a cell phone, you are free to use it anytime. There is no charge if you bring your own telephone.

Can I do laundry during my stay?
Yes. Laundry services are available for personal use.  You or members of your family are welcome to use it to clean your belongings. Please contact the nursing supervisor for more information.

Who should I contact if I have questions, concerns or comments about my care?
Your thoughts and concerns are important to us. Please feel free to contact us any time with any questions or comments you may have. You can reach the Transitional Care Unit Administrator during regular business hours at (814)534-6115.  After hours, please contact the Nursing Supervisor at (814)534-6111.
