The Transitional Care Unit emphasizes rehabilitation and restoration. Our comfortable and at-home feel means you can and should bring things that remind you of home, such as:
- Your own clothes, including night wear and a robe
- Toiletries
- Reading materials
- Photographs
- CD, radio and/or cassette players
- Glasses, dentures, hearing aids or any prostheses; please bring them in a storage case with your name on it
- A list of your current medications
Your medications are administered by our nursing staff on physician orders and are stored in our medication area. With your physician’s approval, you can administer your own medications at your request.
For safety reasons, all electric appliances, including shavers, will be checked by our maintenance staff.
Please leave valuables, such as jewelry or credit cards, at home. If you have valuable items with you and would like to secure them during your stay, they can be placed in the locked drawer in your room. A member of our nursing staff can also offer other options. We cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged articles.
