Radiation therapy is used in more than half of all cancer cases to destroy specific cancer cells in any part of the body. It can also be used to help shrink tumors before and after surgery or to help ease cancer-related pain.

Radiation therapy is provided on an outpatient basis at John P. Murtha Regional Cancer Center in Johnstown. Board-certified radiation oncologists who are based at John P. Murtha Regional Cancer Center include:
