At each hospital, they are backed by the many resources of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, including advanced stroke treatments, heart care and trauma services. An extensive network of physician specialists, such as neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists and plastic surgeons, are also available at Memorial on a moment’s notice.

Critically ill or injured patients from Conemaugh Meyersdale or Conemaugh Miners Medical Centers who may require more extensive emergency or trauma care can be transported to Memorial Medical Center in minutes via MedStar air medical transportation services. This provides quick access to life-saving specialty care. 

As a teaching hospital, Memorial provides advanced training programs for physicians, nurses, paramedics and other health care professionals in several specialties, including Emergency Medicine. Because many of Memorial’s teams are instructing other health professionals, they are skilled in the most current treatment methods.
