Going to the hospital can be a scary experience for a child. That's why the pediatric team at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center does whatever it takes to make sure your child is comfortable and getting the best care possible. Specialty services include:

Cardiac Clinic
Consultations with a pediatric cardiologist for assessment, evaluation, education, recommendations and referral is available for children from infancy to 18 years old with cardiac-related problems. These can include murmurs, abnormal EKGs, superventricular tachycardia, and patent ductus arteriosis.

Behavioral Health and Emotional Services
Aloysia Hall is a child psychiatric unit located at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Good Samaritan Building. This inpatient program addresses the psychological needs of children and adolescents, and includes the services of a child psychiatrist and psychologist. Confidentiality is respected and guarded, with visitors allowed only after receiving clearance. For more information, click here.

Staying at the Hospital -- Our Inpatient Pediatric Unit
Children who are admitted to the hospital -- and their parents -- can count on compassionate, quality care. Our pediatric staff concentrates on health care and heart-care -- the extra smiles and teddy bear warmth that ailing little ones need when hospitalized. Our children-only pediatrics unit means that youngsters receive child-focused care, tailored to meet the needs of their growing bodies.

As an added piece of mind, the unit includes a security system to protect our pediatric patients.

Parent lounge available on unit equipped with television, computer and microwave oven.
Playroom on unit: availability limited and with parental supervision.
Game systems and movies are available.
