Research at MMC

Physicians helped develop and currently participate in more than 60 local, regional and national clinical trials in oncology, internal medicine, neuroscience, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology and pathology.

Memorial researchers are examining the efficacy of treatment methods in areas as diverse as breast cancer surgery, carotid stenosis endaterectomy and headache pain relief. Under the supervision of Memorial physicians, residents are also encouraged and often required to develop individual research projects in their specialty field.

In addition to the implementation and evaluation of clinical trials, our physicians and researchers are actively involved in several national projects designed to improve health care services for US military members deployed abroad.

Pain Management
Tumor Biology and Brain Tumor Treatment
Combat Wound Initiative
