Wireless Electrocardiogram (ECG) technology
ECG is used to record the heart’s electrical activity. The technology can be used right at the patient’s bedside with results immediately recorded and archived in Conemaugh Memorial’s Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS).

Cardiac information is archived in the CVIS allowing physicians at any Conemaugh Health System facility to access real time information.

Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory
Using soundwaves, echocardiography allows a sonographer or obstetrician to view the heart of an unborn baby in much greater detail than a routine ultrasound. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center offers the only fetal echocardiography laboratory between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg that is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.

CardioPACS gives physicians real time access to reports and data collected from areas such as the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Vascular Lab and Cardiac Diagnostic Center.

Neurology/ Neurosurgery Technology

Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with extended, continuous video EEG monitoring capabilities

ProDisc-C Total Disc Replacement A surgical alternative being performed at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center to help patients with debilitating back and neck pain. The diseased disc is removed through a small incision. A metal and plastic implant is inserted, restoring the level of the spine to its intended height and relieving pressure on the nerves or spinal cord.

The Vascular Lab at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is one of just three screenings institutions in Pennsylvania and one of only 18 in the world to receive Vascular Screening accreditation from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).

Robot RX-3000HP
The Robot Rx-3000HP uses bar code scanning technology to automate the storage, picking, returning, restocking, and crediting of more than 90 percent of our daily unit dose medications.  The Robot Rx-3000 HP provides a patient specific medication envelope which prevents picking errors, manages unit-dose inventory and allows the pharmacy staff to support more productive clinical activities. 

MedCarousel
The MedCarousel system automates the management of restock, first dose and scheduled medications using bar code scanning and pick to light technologies to increase picking accuracy and speed. 

PACMED
PACMED is an advanced high speed packing system for oral solid medications that brings intelligent, formulary management capabilities to high-speed, oral solid medication packaging.  Works in concert with Robot-Rx, MedCarousel and Pyxis cabinets.
