In 2001, Memorial Medical Center opened its state-of-the-art Clinical Pavilion, a 242,000-square foot addition that houses several major clinical programs, including:
- Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center
- 31-room MMC Emergency Department, including two fully-equipped trauma suites and 29 treatment rooms
- 10 state-of-the-science surgical suites, including four interactive suites equipped with voice-activated technology and teleconferencing capabilities
- Five advanced surgical suites
- Level III Regional Intensive Care Nursery
- Helipad for MMC’s medical transport helicopter and larger aircraft transferring patients to and from other facilities
- The Atrium, anchoring the Pavilion and linking MMC’s buildings and departments
The Clinical Pavilion is easily accessible to patients, visitors and staff via the Emergency Department and the main hospital entrance.
