At Miners Medical Center, a new state-of-the-art security system provides 24-hour observation. The system was installed as part of the hospital's new building campaign.
In addition to round-the-clock observation, security representatives conduct regular campus patrols and monitor all after-hours activity. Any person requiring access to the hospital after regular business and visiting hours must first register with the security representative.
As a member of the Cambria/Somerset Disaster Task Force, Miners Medical Center has several hospital employees who are trained in bioterrorism safety and security measures. In addition, attendance at monthly programs helps keep staff updated and prepared for crisis situations.
