Scott A. Becker, FACHE, was named Chief Executive Officer of the Conemaugh Health System and Memorial Medical Center in March 2005.
Becker had been with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in Pittsburgh since 2000, most recently holding the position of Vice President, Hospital and Mid-Market Sales. Prior to that, he held top leadership positions at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Health System, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Hospital Division. His career highlights also include holding the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer of Butler Regional Health System and Chief Operating Officer of Monongahela Valley Hospital.
Becker is active in state healthcare organizations, community boards and serves as an academic preceptor to a number of graduate programs in health administration.
Becker was born in Johnstown and lived several years here until his family moved to Uniontown. He holds master's degrees in public health and business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in economics from Washington and Jefferson College.
He and his wife, Cheryl, have three children.
