From May through September, the region is bursting with ethnic festivals, music festivals and old-fashioned community get-togethers that celebrate everything Pennsylvania.

EthnicFest
The streets of Cambria City in Johnstown come alive over Labor Day weekend with the annual EthnicFest event hosted by local churches. Entertainment, kids' areas, games, church tours, and a welcoming environment attract thousands of guests each year. The highlight of the celebration is traditional ethnic food prepared and served by participating parishes.

Friendly City Polka Festival
The Friendly City Polka Festival celebrates the ethnic heritage of many native Johnstowners and attracts more than 3,000 people each year.

Flood City Music Fest
Each Labor Day Weekend, tens of thousands of people gather in the streets of Johnstown to enjoy one of the largest free music festivals in the nation, Flood City Music Fest. Between the music selections heard on several different stages and the numerous food vendors, everyone who goes enjoys the Flood City Music Fest.

Mountain Craft Days
Mountain Craft Days take place the weekend following Labor Day each year at the Somerset County Historical Center. Visitors can enjoy craft demonstrations and authentic food that settlers ate centuries ago.

Pennsylvania Maple Festival
The Pennsylvania Maple Festival takes place in Meyersdale, located in scenic Southern Somerset County, every April. Festival goers can take advantage of bluegrass bands, historic tours and maple product sampling.

Thunder in the Valley
During the fourth weekend of each June, motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts come to Johnstown for the annual Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally. The rally encompasses many events that take place through the region.
