Non-Invasive Vascular Labs
Using some of the most technologically advanced equipment in the region, our experienced vascular lab team performed more than 15,000 diagnostic procedures last year. Services range from exercise stress tests to specialized ultrasounds that zero in on the arteries in the arms or legs. The Vascular Lab at Conemaugh Memorial is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. Conemaugh Memorial's Vascular Lab is one of a select number of vascular labs in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to achieve this distinction.  

Advanced Vascular Operating Suite
The state-of-the-art vascular operating suite at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is specifically designed to handle complex vascular surgery. It is equipped with the latest technology, including image intensification and physiologic monitoring. Designed for minimally invasive vascular surgery and endovascular procedures, the Advanced Vascular Operating Suite can be quickly converted to a traditional operating room to accommodate extensive, complicated endovascular surgeries. This saves valuable time and immediately provides the surgical team with the tools they need to safely complete the procedure. Conemaugh Memorial's Vascular Surgery program has been ranked among the Top five programs in Pennsylvania by HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent healthcare ratings organization.

Vascular and Interventional Radiology Laboratory
The Center's advanced Vascular and Interventional Radiology Laboratory, located in the Department of Radiology at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, is equipped to perform the latest in interventional radiology procedures. Our specially trained and board-certified interventional radiologists use miniaturized tools inserted through small blood vessels in the groin area, as well as extensive imaging equipment, to perform safe and effective minimally invasive treatments. These most often include balloon angioplasty and stent placement. While not everyone is a candidate for interventional therapy, the procedures can be easier for patients because they involve smaller incisions, less pain and discomfort, and a shorter hospital stay.

 Cardiac Catheterization Lab
By using a multi-specialty approach to diagnosis and treatment, Vascular surgeons can evaluate a patient's condition on several fronts and develop a treatment plan that incorporates the vast resources of the Conemaugh Health System to combat the disease. Since the diagnosis of vascular disease can also uncover advanced stages of heart disease, our physician team may recommend cardiac catheterization. This service is available at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, and has been recognized nationally for quality outcomes including the HealthGrades 2012 Coronary Intervention Excellence Award and ranking among the top 10% in the nation for Coronary Interventions.
