Memorial Medical Center receives APEX Award for excellence in patient care
Memorial has been named one of a few qualifying VHA member hospitals awarded VHA Pennsylvania’s Achieving Patient Care Excellence (APEX) Award for the facility’s extraordinary clinical performance in reaching the highest level of achievement for surgical infection prevention core measure indicators for the first quarter of 2007.
Crichton Rehabilitation Center- CARF Accrediation
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced that Crichton Rehabilitation Center has been accredited for a period of three years for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital (Adults) and Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs– Hospital (Children and Adolescents). The latest accreditation is the third consecutive Three-Year Accreditation outcome that the international accrediting commission has awarded to the Crichton Rehabilitation Center.

The Commission has recognized Memorial Medical Center's cancer program with its highest honor, the Three Year With Commendation Approval Award. Memorial is home to the only accredited cancer program in Bedford, Cambria and Somerset Counties.
