Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Kristy Wolfel is now providing diagnostic imaging for patients.
A graduate of Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA, and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Wolfel completed an AOA Internship at Altoona Regional Medical Center. She completed both her residency and a mammography fellowship at Aultman Hospital / Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
Dr. Wolfel enjoys women’s imaging especially the interaction with patients. “Breast screening and diagnosis can lead to emotional moments for some patients,” says Dr. Wolfel. “I appreciate being there to help comfort them and calm them down. Together we can work through their concerns and make it a better experience for them.”
Dr. Wolfel is married and the mother of a young daughter. Her husband is a Johnstown native so they are happy to be back home with family.
