Dr. Sauter is passionately involved in clinical trials having conducted over 100 treatment trials in numerous areas of neurology including multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and epilepsy. He intends to continue his clinical trial work at Conemaugh Memorial. “I have benefitted from patient and physician interest in the clinical research trials in which I have been involved over the past two decades,” says Dr. Sauter. “One of the reasons I chose to come to Conemaugh was to help establish similar programs in the region.”

Past positions include Director of the Stroke Center at Excela Health System and Director of the Neuro-rehabilitation Unit at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensburg as well as work as a consulting neurologist at numerous regional hospitals including Latrobe, Monsour, Frick, Jeannette and Westmoreland hospitals.
