Timothy Harclerode, R.N., MBA, FACHE, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Nason Hospital. Harclerode will begin his new post in February. He comes to Roaring Spring from Maria Parham Medical Center in North Carolina where he served as Chief Operating Officer.
“We are confident Tim will be a good fit for Nason Hospital and for the Roaring Spring community,” says Doug Mingle, Chairman of Nason Hospital’s Board of Trustees. “Tim has great and diverse healthcare experience and a proven track record of success. He was highly recommended by all involved in this decision.”
Harclerode began his healthcare career as a medic in the U.S. Army. He then went on to complete a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration, both from West Virginia University. Harclerode is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Harclerode has been with LifePoint Health for seven years in progressive leadership roles. His recent position as COO at Maria Parham Medical Center included oversight of all clinical and support departments as well as the hospital’s quality initiatives, construction and renovation, strategic planning and capital improvements.
“I am honored to have been chosen as Chief Executive Officer for Nason Hospital,” says Harclerode. “I am excited to be working alongside a medical staff, board, leadership team and employees who are so proud of the rich tradition of Nason Hospital and so dedicated to their patients and their community. “
Harclerode says the Roaring Spring region is a perfect fit for him. “I grew up in a similar size community. My first impression of this region is that everyone is amazingly sincere and easy to talk to which will make my job so much easier. It is also clear to me that the community greatly supports Nason Hospital; all of this makes me so excited to take this position.”
Harclerode will replace Richard Grogran who has served as Nason’s Interim CEO since the hospital became part of LifePoint Healthcare in February of 2015. “Richard has done an outstanding job and we are truly grateful for his leadership and commitment to Nason Hospital and the community,” says Mingle. “We have enjoyed working with Richard and wish him the very best. We look forward to welcoming Tim and to this new and exciting chapter for Nason Hospital.”
Harclerode enjoys the outdoors and is looking forward to being closer to family including his parents and his two sons who reside in West Virginia.
