Conemaugh Memorial's journey to silver recognition began in January 2014. Evidence-based specific beta blockers have improved from 65% to 100% in 2014.
"We are continuously looking for ways to improve our patient’s care and our Congestive Heart Failure outcomes demonstrate that commitment. We have seen a positive improvement in the lives of our patient population and a decrease in the mortality rate from the beginning of our journey," says Kerri Tononi, Executive Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line at Conemaugh Memorial. "As we continue through our journey with The AHA Get With The Guidelines Cardiac Heart Failure program, I am confident that we will continue to see strong results through better patient outcomes and a higher quality of life."
Kelly Macheska, Director of Quality and Systems Improvement, from the American Heart Association presented the awards to members of Conemaugh Memorial's Cardiovascular Service and Neuroscience Service Line leaders.
